A Fundraiser Benefitting Our Four Legged Friends

Thank you for helping us WIN the Rescue Rivalry battle of donations!

While The Ohio State and Xichigan football teams take their rivalry to the field, Columbus Dog Connection (CDC) will take ours to the bank. Last year CDC won Rescue Rivalry and raised more than $9,000! This year’s friendly competition is against the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) in Ann Arbor, MI, to be known as our Xichigan Rival.

Rescue Rivalry features a series of challenges on social media throughout the Fall football season. In reality, both organizations win by engaging donors and the community. But the team that raises the most money gets bragging rights and chooses a friendly punishment for the losing side. We are in negotiation with our opponent and will announce some of the doozies soon.

Of course, the real winners will be the estimated 2,000 plus dogs and cats we serve every year in our programs. Every dollar donated supports CDC’s mission to rescue, foster & re-home, low-cost spay/neuter, TNR, and provide low-cost veterinary care to the animals and people that support them in the community.

The competition begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept 5th, and ends Saturday, Nov. 28th, after the Buckeyes flatten the Wolverines.

The running tally of donations for both teams is posted on Social Media platforms around 5 p.m. Fridays.

Let’s work together to WIN with the most donations but also beat last year’s total!
