A Fundraiser Benefitting Our Four Legged Friends

Last year we launched a new Fundraiser, Rescue Rivalry. It was a huge success, so of course we will be having it again this year. Rescue Rivalry is a fun fundraiser – a friendly competition against the Humane Society of Huron Valley, in Ann Arbor, MI, to be known as our Xichigan Rival.

While the Ohio State and Michigan football teams will take their rivalry to the field, we will take ours to the bank. Help us go head-to-head against our Xichigan Rival in a battle of donations!

Although we win bragging rights if we bring in the most money, the real winners will be the estimated 2,000 plus dogs and cats we serve every year in our programs. Every dollar you give will support our mission of rescuing, fostering & re-homing, spaying/neutering, TNR, and providing veterinary care to animals in our care and in the community.

The Rescue Rivalry competition begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept 5th, and ends Saturday, Nov. 28th, after the Buckeyes have (we expect) flattened the Wolverines.

Until the final touchdown, we will have a series of mini-challenges and events to keep you entertained and donating. They will be posted on our social media platforms and website, so stay tuned!

The team that raises the most money gets bragging rights and gets to choose a friendly punishment for the losing organization. We are in negotiation with our opponent and will announce some of the doozies at a later date.

We will update the running tally of donations for both teams on Facebook around 5 p.m. Fridays.
